Pastor Kevin Broyhill

Senior Pastor

Pastor Kevin Broyhill’s journey with Calvary Baptist Church in King, NC, is one deeply rooted in faith and service. In March of 2008, he embraced the role of Senior Pastor, having already served the congregation as Associate Pastor for two years. His relationship with Jesus began at the age of 17 when he accepted Christ as his Savior, and just a year later, during his senior year of high school, he felt the unmistakable call to preach the Gospel.

Pastor Broyhill's dedication to ministry is reflected in his education. He earned a Bachelor of Theology and a Master of Ministry degree from Calvary Baptist Bible College in King, NC, and recently, in 2023, he completed a Doctorate of Biblical Exposition from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Georgia. Before his time at Calvary, he spent 16 years as the Senior Pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Lenoir, NC, where his passion for preaching and shepherding God's people was clearly evident.

Pastor Broyhill's commitment to the truth of God's Word shines through in his passionate, expositional sermons. His love for the Scriptures is also expressed in his writing. He is the author of two books: Discovering God’s Love, which has touched lives far beyond English-speaking communities with translations into Spanish and Arabic, and The Shepherd’s Song, Help for Those Who Hurt, a devotional centered on the comforting truths of Psalm 23.

But beyond the pulpit, Kevin is a devoted husband and father. He has been married to Lori, the love of his life, for 35 years. Together, they have raised two wonderful children, Emily and James, who now stand beside them in serving the Lord at Calvary.

When Pastor Broyhill isn’t engaged in ministry, he finds joy in simpler pleasures. He’s a lover of bird dogs and fly fishing and an avid sports enthusiast, especially when it comes to the Atlanta Braves and Tarheel basketball. His life is a testament to his deep love for God, his family, and the flock he has been called to shepherd.

Pastor Vernon became the Assistant Pastor at Calvary in 1996. He was saved in 1984 at the age of 27, and called to preach in 1986. He earned a Bachelor of Theology degree in 1992 from Calvary Baptist Bible College. He was called to pastor Lighthouse Baptist Church in New Castle, Virginia and pastored there for five years. Pastor Vernon oversees our missions ministry, pastoral care ministry, and teaches the Grounded in Christ Sunday School class. He is married to Debbie Vernon and has four children: Amanda, Joshua, Caleb, and Benjamin.

Brother Thomas Delp

Administrative Pastor

Thomas Delp was raised in a Christian home in Pennsylvania and received Christ as his personal Savior in 1999.

He received a Graduate of Theology degree from Ambassador Baptist College (Shelby, NC) in 2011 and came to Calvary Baptist Bible College in King in 2012 where he received a Bachelor of Theology degree.
Thomas is married to his wife, Tiffany, who was reached at Calvary in 1998 through the bus ministry.

They have been married for 13 years.
Thomas and Tiffany have three children: Elise, Karis, and Silas.
Brother Delp is our Administrative Pastor and helps Pastor Broyhill oversee the day-to-day operations and events of Calvary Baptist Church.
He also leads our Music, Life Groups, Outreach, and First Impressions ministries.
Thomas loves spending time with his family, eating at Chick-Fil-A, having fun at Dollywood, and following his favorite sports teams: The Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Brother Lane became the Director of Student Ministries in January of 2014. He graduated from Calvary Baptist Bible College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Theology with a double minor in Pastoral Theology and Youth Ministry. He was saved at the age of nine, raised in a pastor's home, and accepted the call to preach at the age of sixteen. Bro. Lane is over our Elevate Student Ministry, oversees our media ministry, and assists Pastor Broyhill in various ministries. He has been married to Kristian Lane since 2011 and has three children: Emmie, Luke, and Zak.

Mrs. Lane serves as the pastor's secretary. Kristian has worked at Calvary since June 2011. She is married to Michael Lane and has three children: Emmie, Luke, and Zak.

Brother Luke Moore

Support Staff

Brother Moore was saved at the age of 7, raised in a pastor's home, and accepted the call to preach at the age of 16. Bro. Moore came on staff in January 2022 and assists Pastor Broyhill in various ministries. He has been married to Megan Moore since 2017 and has two children: Piper and Hudson.

Mrs. Moore has served as the church secretary since August 2022. She started at Calvary Baptist Bible College in June 2020. She and her husband, Luke, have two children: Piper and Hudson.
