Calvary Kid Life

Our Kid Life classes are filled with fun and learning. There is a separate class for each grade, except for the 1st and 2nd grade classes, which are combined. The boys classes are taught by men, and the girls classes are taught by women, beginning in the 1st grade. There are nurseries available for your infants or one-year-old, and nursery Sunday School classes for your two or three year old. We teach age-appropriate Bible lessons in each class, using exciting activities and illustrations during each lesson.

Your child will be eager to be in class every Sunday morning at 9:30!

Calvary Kid's Church

Children are precious to the Lord. Every Sunday morning during the 10:30 service, the children ages four through sixth grade attend classes filled with energetic singing, activities, and an age-appropriate Bible lesson. It is the goal of Calvary Baptist Church that children not only have a safe environment of fun and fellowship, but that they are also encouraged to learn and grow spiritually.

Nursery

Our nurseries are divided into four age groups, from infants through three-year-olds. The goal of our experienced nursery supervisors and workers is for your child to be safe and happy.

We use a visual pager system so that our nursery supervisors can quickly alert you if your child needs you. When you check him into the nursery, we will give you a numbered security card. If he needs you, we will page his number; you will see his number appear on the two small screens at the front of the auditorium. If your child seems upset when you drop him off, please give us a few moments to comfort him and interest him in the nursery activities. With the pager system, you can leave him and find a seat in the auditorium; if your child continues to be unhappy, we will page you. For the safety of your child, we ask that you bring the security card with you when you pick him up from the nursery. We do not give children to anyone that does not have that child's security card with them. If you've misplaced the card, your child's nursery supervisor will have the Nursery Director verify your identity and give you your child. This provides peace of mind for parents, because they know that no one will be able to pick up their child from the nursery without their security card.

Our infant and one-year-old nursery workers lovingly care for your child as you would at home. We have fun, safe, and clean toys, swings, walkers, and cribs that are age-appropriate. Our nursery supervisors will follow your instructions, keeping your child comfortable and happy.

Our two- and three-year-old nursery supervisors plan an exciting time of learning and activities for your child. We offer healthy snacks, keeping the usual childhood tastes and allergies in mind. The toddlers in the twos and threes enjoy learning through games, activities, songs, and age-appropriate Bible stories. Your child will quickly make friends with the teachers and children alike.

Pastor's Summer Pals

Pastor's Summer Pals is our summer children's ministry: a way for our pastor to invest in the children of Calvary Baptist Church. Kids four years old through 6th grade can earn points and prizes for church attendance, activity sheets, and daily devotions. We also spend a few minutes every Wednesday night watching a historical video about Christians of the past.

Calvary Clubs

Calvary Clubs is an exciting program for children 4-years-old through 6th grade. We meet every Wednesday during the regular school year from 6:45 - 8:15 p.m.

The purpose of the Calvary Clubs ministry is to disciple, train, and provide opportunities for children to serve God now. Children are challenged every week to build Christ-like character through various activities, which are led by godly role models.

Club leaders will inspire children on how to serve God and apply His Word to their hearts and lives, and our Clubs Director will open God's Word and give a challenging Bible lesson that children can put to practice in their everyday lives.

Every Clubber will have the opportunity to earn awards and badges by completing Bible-based activities, projects, memorizing Bible verses, and showing Christian character. They also participate in a weekly Game Time, which is a combination of Bible games to reinforce lessons and just-for-fun games to keep kids excited and to teach them Christian sportsmanship and friendly competition.

Children's Choir

The Children's Choirs range in age from 4 years old through the 6th grade. Children at Calvary can be a member of a children's choir that sings during the school year once per month on Sunday nights. There are two choirs for children.

We have a traditional choir that sings. We also have a bell choir.
