  • Pastor's Prayer Team

Romans 15:30 - "Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me..."

You can receive a daily devotion by calling 336-983-2190.

You can also receive urgent prayer texts by texting PRAYER to 833.658.1500

A pastor faces many challenges as he serves the Lord by ministering to His flock. The demands of preparing sermons, overseeing and leading the ministry of the church, visiting the sick, ministering to hurting saints, and reaching those without Christ are just a few of the pressures that a preacher faces. The purpose of the Pastor's Prayer Team is to come alongside our Pastor and hold up his hands through prayer as Aaron and Hur did for Moses in Exodus 17.

Any adult in the church can serve as a part of the Pastor's Prayer Team.

If you are interested in becoming a part of the Pastor's Prayer Team you can call or email Thomas Delp.

  • Young at Heart

"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him." Psalms 92:12-15

Each person in the church is vital to the health and growth of the church. The rich experience and seasoned gifts of older Christians are indispensable resources to our congregation. Our church has made a commitment to encourage the Young at Hearts and maintain their involvement in the life of the church. There's a place for you at Calvary! Ministries need your skills, abilities, and maturity!

Our Young at Heart ministry provides fellowship and friendship for our older adults. To participate in the Young at Hearts you must be fifty-five years of age or older or have a spouse in that age group. The Young at Hearts meet regularly.

One or more trips are taken each year to nearby areas of interest, sometimes including an overnight stay. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Young of Hearts, please call our church office.

  • Jail Ministry

“...I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” ~ Matthew 25:36

This ministry opportunity is designed to reach those incarcerated in the Stokes County Jail with the hope of the gospel. A group of our men and ladies visit the Stokes County Jail four times a month to witness to the inmates and hold Bible studies. The men and ladies are divided into separate groups to visit with the inmates. The women meet with female inmates to hold Bible studies; the men meet with the male inmates to preach and witness. There have been numerous inmates saved through this ministry to forgotten people, and we have members now serving faithfully in our church that were reached through the jail ministry.

For more information, please call the church office at 336.983.3728 or contact Bro. Thomas Delp at tdelp@cbcking.org.
